Back in the States

Hello everyone! Mom’s kind of busy, so here I am blogging again! Well we’re back in the USA now. We flew in from Morocco on July 16th to New York. Our Grandma and Grandpa Brady picked us up in Rochester and we went and spent a night in Palmyra and we got to see the Palmyra Pageant which are cousins were in, which was a lot of fun. I absolutely loved it! And us kids got to see the Smith Farm and Sacred Grove for the first time.
Erik and Dad stayed in Morocco for the past few weeks while the rest of us were here. Erik got a teen job at the embassy this summer, he’s the Teen CLO! They actually fly out today and are going straight to Portland to get stuff ready for us, I guess.
It was kind of strange at first, coming back to the US. There were so many things we weren’t used to. Like the first night where our flight got canceled and we had to spend the night at a Days Inn at JFK. We were SO thirsty, so my mom was like "Hey Kent, you can go get some ice from the ice machine in the hallway." So he did. And we found a couple cups, so she was like "Here, everyone drink lots of water." And all of us thought, but Ryan said, "Where’s the water?" She looked confused for a second, but then she laughed and was like, "You guys can drink out of the tap here!" We were like, "oh wow. Duh." Haha also when Ryan had to go to the bathroom and was jumping up and down he was banging his hand all over the wall for the light switch and couldn’t find it, "MOM! Where’s the light switch?" Oh.. It’s inside the room, not outside. "MOM! It doesn’t have a flusher!" Oh.. It’s back on the side, not the top... Haha but we’re almost adjusted to all that stuff now. It was so weird at first to hear everyone speaking English, and know that now whatever we say everyone else will understand!!

I think Kent was the most excited out of all of us to be able to ride the dirt bike again. We all missed it, but he was bouncing up and down with excitement, but since when we first drove in from New York it was late Saturday night, he had to wait until Monday morning to ride!!! But since I’ve only downloaded pictures from my camera and not my mom’s, I only have a picture of me on it.
Here’s a picture of Nathan at our Grandma and Grandpa Brady’s house. This pool table gets used for many things! Lego worlds, a sewing table... and every once in a while a game of pool!!

This was one of those moments when everyone gets along and is having fun, so this was our attempt at a sort-of-pyramid with only 4 people, at my Grandparent’s ward picnic one day.

Happy August!
