Kevin, Cathryn, Cristina and Dan arrived after a very thorough rain wash on Wednesday to enough rays of sun to make a glorious rainbow. The rain must have finally washed away all the clouds because we had two gloriously sunny days of touring. We started in Moléson and took the cable car and then gondola to the top peak.
This is the view inside the gondola--cute cows :)
Then we hiked to the actual top for gorgeous views down in the valley (looking forward to some of Kevin's pics)
We hiked down from there which really should not have been too difficult but with all the recent rain the trail was a veritable creek. This is the bottom of Cathryn's shoe. As soon as we scraped off the 3-4 cm layer of mud, another layer commenced to accumulate.
Cristina had a particular fondness for the slippery slopes and even shared her smile to verify :)
Kevin taking the good shots.
Looking back up the peak from where we started.
After trying the variously aged Gruyère cheeses, we all decide on the most aged variety and had a little picnic from the back of the car.
The colors of fall from the château. Just a splendid day!
Dan and Cristina in the Maison Cailler showroom (after the tasting room). Now those are authentic smiles!!!!
Friday morning we headed up to Lauterbrunnen Valley to visit the falls.
I'm guessing those are the water droplets coming from the falls because I cleaned my lens a few times and still lots of spots.
Lots of fun but we had to say goodbye again. Tschüss!!!
