Saturday we did a 10 mile hike with the scouts. These chimneys were the best part :) So cute, huh?
In the afternoon we attended the Bern Fasnacht Parade. The parade goers dress up as much as the parade participants. Here are two snails who walked very slowly through the streets.

The Bern bear was locked up in the Käfigturm (prison tower) on 11.11.12 at 11:11 (something about the 11 is important). Then on the first day of Fasnacht (Thursday this week), the bear climbed out of the tower to start the celebration. He is now leading the Parade which included 50 bands that all played simultaneously with very little space in between--but lots of fun!

I am learning so much from your blogs. You surely do take advantage of all the things you can learn while in Switzerland. Thats great.
Reminds me of Carnivale in Cologne. What fun!
