Back to Hawaii--part 2

Sunday morning we met Kirstin and Kyle (daughter and son-in-law of our good friends from Chesapeake) and Paige at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens.  This is one of my favorite trees with such amazing roots.

 Paige, Kirstin, and me

We attended church on our Kaneohe 4th Ward.  Lucky our bench in the second row on the right was still available.  So fun to see so many great friends!!
Wrights with Ryan, Michelle, Ginny (most beautiful neighbor ever), Ryan, Nathan, Hannah and Taylor in the front.

Monday morning began with a beautiful sun rise at Kailua.

Then a run up to Mokapu'u Lighthouse.

We took the jeep top off and drove up to Waimanalo Beach.
More digging...

Back to Kailua for some lunch then off to Lanikai beach in the rain.

The boys just couldn't dig enough sand.

Tuesday we headed into Honolulu with a quick swim at Waikiki and then a tour of Honolulu Zoo.  My favorite Banyan tree outside of the zoo across from Waikiki.

Holding hands with Gandhi

 Still more digging...
Sausage tree in the zoo--bats love the flowers but no bats in the middle of the day.
Almost looks like a Swiss cow but no...it's Lani Moo.
Nathan resting with his giraffe.  I'm sure I have pics of him on this as an infant.
And my favorite animal--

Aloha and Mahalo!!!
