One of my favorite patients is a young lady who lost her knee to a sarcoma. The doctor performed a 180 rotationalplasty to turn her tibia into her femur with her foot now backwards. We have been working for about 3 months to strengthen her hips and core and foot to prepare for her prosthesis. Her foot fits into her prosthesis and becomes the functional knee. She just finished about 6 months of chemotherapy so we were celebrating her "ring the bell" experience. This is her second time wearing her prosthesis.
Conference weekend was excellent as usual--family, fun and inspirational talks!
We have friends moving to the middle of the pacific ocean today so they shared one of their watermelons with us--more than 60 lbs. There were some even bigger.
Lukas is the highlight of any get together. Quick bath after another haircut.
The train set seemed to entertain each of my boys more than my grandson.
Wonderful family time! Wonderful gospel time!
