Ryan and Nathan have been working hard this summer to earn money for mice. We tried to put it off as long as possible, but finally ran out of excuses. We are now the proud family parents of Shadow (the black one on the right sitting in the food bowl) and Petra (the white one running diligently on the wheel).
The boys have spent hours preparing their training area for the mice. There are tubes to run through, "Eggmazing Mazes" to learn (in egg boxes), balance beams to walk, ladders to climb and escape routes to find in the training area. They have one and 1/2 more weeks to train the mice for stardom before school starts. Good luck!!!
Nate and his friend kneeling in the rain, waving to cars, buses and bikes. They got 100 people to wave to them. They figured that by the end of the night 900 people would know them--from those who waved back telling their family and friends :) Curious minds, these children.
I'm figuring it's probably time to start back into some formal education!!!
Now onto the first day of training after having one day to acclimate. Both mice are in the training/play area with Ryan and Nate.
Here is Petra on top of the city house. She loves running through all the TP tubes but found her way to the roof--a very curious mouse!
She even managed to find the treat Nate left her on top of the cup.
Almost too much fun for two boys!!!! Definitely too much fun for their mom :)
