My mom planned a great family reunion--just not what we were expecting. It was truly amazing to celebrate her life--to reminisce together with tears and laughter. So many great stories were shared of an amazing daughter of God--a wife, a mother, an aunt, a grandmother and wonderful friend.
We all chose flowers from the casket spray. Of course, Alan picked his favorite color. (The stalk of my sunflower is across the bottom.)
My dad's sister, 2 brothers and their wives.
My favoritest sister in the whole world (that's the face of my sunflower).
My dad and siblings after the luncheon.
All the family in one big group hug!
My mom's brother (bottom left), 2 sister-in-laws (middle women), nieces and their farm manager (far left).
Erin back at the house.
Visiting the gravesite before heading to the airport.
We know mom has just moved on to the next phase of her eternal progression and she is happily busy reuniting with her mother and father and brothers and friends and acquaintances. Her example and testimony will continue to influence my daily choices. Thanks Mom!!! You are the best!
