Gotta love camping in the rain!! Dan and I chaperoned 13 scouts with 2 other parents for a 3 day camp in Kandersteg.
Group meetings out of the rain--great fire!
Creative entertainment:
Practicing survival skills with a water filter straw. (Don't try this at home)
The more it rained, the more waterfalls we enjoyed
Dan, Kent and I took a 15 minute walk with one of Kent's classmates to his parents' B&B.
The roof was rather interesting--wood pieces with wooden boards to hold them down and large stones to hold down the boards. The valley in the background is where we hiked the following day.
On their side porch. The waterfall in the background is about a 1/10 of its height.
Back at camp I hung around the fire in the pavilion--so warm and dry.
The waterfall behind our tents.
Morning breakfast--bacon on sticks, pancakes in the fire and scrambled eggs.
Then off on our hike to Oeschinensee.
Nate's view back into Kandersteg.
At Oeschinensee, waiting for the clouds to break :)
Kent telling his stories.
Heading back to camp for lunch.
The view back over the meadow and up the valley we just hiked.
But happy now to be back home, dry and clean!!!
