Erik flew from Switzerland on his birthday (just so he had 6 more hours to celebrate). Grandma and Grandpa Brady and Hoku picked him up at the airport and drove to Chesapeake to visit with Pat and Lisa and family. They spent Saturday at the beach (last time). Erik spoke in church with his grandma. Then he was set apart as a Missionary and we joined in over the phone--amazing experience. He flew to Utah Tuesday where Dave became his companion for 20 hours.
Enjoying his last meal with cousins.
Curbside at the MTC.
Somehow Dave captured the glow of each of the missionaries :)
Thanks to all who have helped make Erik the young man he is. And thanks for all the help in getting him ready to pack his suitcases--it takes a village to get a missionary out the door especially when his parents live 5000 miles away (I had no idea it was that far, at least he'll be closer when he's in the field :)

Wow.....you guys have a missionary! Jonah is 17 1/2, so I'm looking at that experience in the near future :) Where is Erik going?
A wonderful young man about to bring eternal joy to the people of Lyon.
