Ostereier (Easter Eggs)

Friday Ryan, Nate and I helped a friend in their garden then we decorated Easter Eggs.  The ones above we put an herb or weed on the egg, covered it with panty hose, then tied it real tight.  We boiled them in onion skins for 10-15 mins.  The ones on the back you, we did the same but boiled them in a special blue bark (plan on having a blue pan afterwards and forever).

Ryan, Nate and Lara decorated others with our more traditional dyes and then drew pictures on them.

Nate is displaying some of our favorites--not sure we can even eat them.

After finding eggs with broccoli and garlic inside, Ryan decided that eggs filled with Tortellini is mighty nice.  This is how he served his Sunday night snack.

Nate lost the battle with his robin egg, but was all to happy for the loss!

Erin and Kent have been at a church, youth Easter camp since Friday.  Dan is on his way to pick them up now.  Erin helped with the planning stages of the conference which included two dances, several workshops and a visit to the Gruyere Chateau and the Caillier Chocolate Factory.  Erin was also asked to lead a 10 minute devotional on Easter morning, in German, of course.  Can't wait to hear about it all!
