Gurten, Prom and Triftbrücke

European holiday weekend: first stop--Bern temple.

Then a ward party on the top of the Gurten.  Boys were making pyramids before the rain and hail arrived.

Erin carrying around a friend.

Huddling with friends to try and warm up after the hail storm.

Michael and Kent, ready to head into prom (the flowers are for Micheal's date, not Kent)

Cathy and I, obnoxiously followed our boys to prom at the Casionplatz.

Gorgeous rainbow in the evening!

Dan, Erik and Erin had to work on Friday but the boys had no school.  Rested by Saturday and ready for our hike up to the Triftbrücke.

Taking a rest after our scariest section: traversing a snow covered creek and walking along the sheer cliffs.

One of many bridges but definitely the least scary.

The goal of our hike--the Triftbrücke--the longest and highest suspension bridge in the Alps.

Nate conquering his fears!!!

Views from the other side.

We left our packs with lunch on the other side...bummer!

Crossing back.

Finally time for lunch :)

Always time to throw rocks in a pond.

Trekking back down, singing songs and making plans.

Alpen flowers and sunshine!
 Gorgeous day in the Alps!!
