Moonshine from our back porch--really, just the glow from the moon (could use a tripod :)
Tuesday, Nate and I, Anna and Jan (our neighbors) took the Niesen train almost to the top of the Swiss pyramid. We finished the hike to the top for the amazing views then we hiked down the 7,749 foot or 2,362m Swiss pyramid. From a distance the mountain looks like a pyramid so it is often advertised as such.
The view back to Bern, but it is a bit far in the distance. There were lots of man-made rock formations/balancing acts at the top, so the boys had to try their hands at them, too.
Our lunch break before our hike really even started.
Nate's on the edge of the world.
The back of the world looks a bit tilted but it didn't when I took the pic (optical illusion).
Lake Thun is in the background of this with Interlaken to the right but out of view.
Three hours into our descent, Anna's and my thighs are killing us but the boys are now in running mode.
Nate's pic of some of the flowers.
Thursday we went hiking with the McGarritys to Oeschinensee. Nate and Jack enjoying the views in the gondola.

Maggie, Jack, Mikaela (their cousin), Nate and Ryan.
Oeschinensee behind us :)
Nate eating lunch.
Ryan at the lake. It reminded us of Crater Lake.
Nate swam with Jack and Mikaela over to some falls then we hiked back down the mountain.
