Ryan had to make his St. Patrick's Day breakfast to feel in the Irish spirit. Being the picky eater he is one wouldn't really think he'd like that--green milk, green eggs and ham, green yogurt.
We drove up (in a Boy Scout convoy that took forever) to Stuttgart, Germany Friday night for Dan and Ryan to camp with the Scout troop. Nate, Kent and I stayed with some friends from Morocco who live there. We did some touring and then some shopping. This is what Nate has been saving for:
The added bonus was the chalk drawer--it is a graffiti drawer with the 3 chalk attachments in the back. He is thrilled beyond means. He even rode it to school (without the chalk). They are very common here, even for the adults to use. I saw a woman on Friday riding down the middle of the road on her scooter, in a dress with her bag on her back--next best thing to a bike, I guess.
Ryan was busy in the garden last week. He planted 38 pansies and some geraniums and some other yellow flowers.
But Mother Nature is ahead of us with all the wild flowers in the grass. It is gorgeous. Last week there were tons of purple flowers and now there are lots of yellow flowers all through the grasses (not dandelions).
You can see some of the purple ones behind Nate.
Not even sure what these are, but to me they mean spring has sprung!
Quick game of beanie baby soccer. It must be a bit noisy for our underneath neighbors but they ensure us we are not a bother--they want to hear the kids having fun. I should try to hang out with them for a few minutes while my kids play just to see what is actually happening :)
