This is what we expected to find at the onion market--overpriced onions in strands and wreaths and cute little people onions.
But this is what we found! Lots of confetti!
Lots of interaction among friends and strangers.
Confetti everywhere! but the hope each time it hit you was that it was only one color. If it was mixed it meant it was picked up from the ground.
A bit of lunch and more confetti.
Lots of new friends.
And even some old ones (well 3 months old friends from school).
And then add the hammers that are used to hit each other on the head--both friends and foes! Who would have thought it would be so much fun.
Erin finally found her favorite dried apples that we found in Vienna. Then we headed home with confetti enmeshed in our ears and coats and bottom layers.
