Nathan had a Uni-hockey tournament in Basel this weekend. His team lost 6 of their 7 matches (we are the smallest school in the tournament) but the kids had a great time.
Nathan with his friend Jack. Nate played goalie for one of the games. He's got the serious face to prepare. He thought he did great but I think that was our worse loss. The other schools were playing 4th and 5th graders but we didn't have enough so Nate and his friend, Jack, both 3rd graders, were invited to play.

Luckily, their last game was their win so they left feeling pretty good. Not to mention the purple shirts they received. Nathan was thrilled with purple, me--a bit disgusted after a full day of games. Actually, Dan and I did a quick run to Mulhouse, France for groceries, having heard the prices were better but we weren't too impressed.
