Erik is now 17 years old! The candles were trick candles to everyone. I just pulled out what I had in the cupboard and borrowed a few from the neighbors. Once he made his wish and started blowing they just kept relighting--good thing his wish won't come true:)
The next day Nathan turned 7! His candles were the recylced trick candles but this time we were all expecting it. They emit clouds of smoke but luckily no alarms went off.
