A Few Happenings

On our way to find our group at the Starlight Parade, Ryan, Nate and I found these falls only 2 blocks from Dan's office. There were kids playing in the water and wading in the pools (which is actually allowed). It was a bit cold that night but we'll be back (if we ever get a summer here)!
We found our group (about 15 blocks from where we parked the car but we had easy access to the city so no complaints here). The kids were all "high-5ing" all the runners before the parade. Many ran in costumes so it was fun to watch. Erik and Ryan both decided to run next year--now we just have to think of our costumes. The actual parade started about 9 as the lights were dimming. Erin's band marched but Nathan and I left about 10:30 (he was feeling sick) and missed her by about 15 minutes. Once we left the noisy parade behind us Nathan felt much better:)
At Kent's final band concert he played a duet for his jazz band--if you could only hear those notes blasting from his trumpet:) He's planning to learn the french horn this summer and play both instruments next year.
It's still cold as heck here with rain about every day. The kids have one more week of school but since we don't have any summer weather they might as well be in school!
