The kids got Dan a dog for his 50th birthday this week. Now Moo-girl has a buddy :)
Saturday was gorgeous weathers so we all went out to play ball at the local court then in the afternoon headed downtown Bern for the Fasnacht parade. This is the extent of our costumes:
And this is what our neighbor spectators were wearing:
The Bern bear opens the parade (they finally let him out of the Kafigtürm where he was interred last year on 11.11 at 11:11.
My favorite color :)
Spectators next to us--you should have seen them dance!
Lots of purple this year. Would you ever wear this down main street? even in a parade?
Pretty in Pink
These two just had to fight for the wall space.
Bored with the wall, Ryan picked a fight with his next option. Can't remember if this was when the confetti was put in the mouth or not.
Interesting family photo on the drum face. Nate's friend is to the far right.
Another Elvis sighting. I think he makes the parade every year. Who would have thought?
This was Ryan's final attempt to keep the confetti out of his mouth and from going down his back. Confetti was thrown by parade participants and spectators. Coming from all directions, one can never be too careful.
Happy Fasnacht!!
