25th Anniversary

25 years already!!!  Dan and I attended church in Annency, France then walked up around the Chateau.

Monday morning we ran 10 miles, returned to our Auberge for breakfast then went to the next valley and hiked 10 miles from Geve.  It was hot but we still found snow.

First we hiked to Pas de Cles...

and enjoyed the views around and...

the beautiful wildflowers on the ground...

Then a bit of a round about way to Orient le Bec...

with more views

and more flowers :)

The style of roofs in Autrans and also around Lans en Vercours.

After our 20 miles of exploration we relaxed and read in the garden of our auberge.  That is relaxed until we were pecked by one of the roaming chickens.

And then there was Max!  He became a fast friend and joined us for our Tuesday morning run in the woods.  He might be a bit embarrassed to see that we captured him so relaxed, so don't mention it.

We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner followed by a fabulous tart.

Tuesday we started with a run, quick breakfast then off for another hike on the other side of the valley.  Our trail was blocked with a huge flock of sheep.  The shepherd asked us to pass up along the side to avoid scattering them.  That was fine but it was not so fine when we emerged on the other side all scratched and bruised with the 3 mangy sheep dogs chasing after us.

A view from Pic St-Michel with Grenoble in the background.

Happy 25th!

Great views!  Great times!
