Another Week

The boys had a Court of Honor on Wednesday.  The Scoutmaster was called away to Tunisia and Dan had a meeting that night so it really was a boy led Court of Honor.  The flag poles are too tall to use in our meeting room so they held the flag ceremony outside in the rain.  Then we returned inside to hand out recently earned awards.

Kent and Ryan both advanced to Star.  Ryan received 11 merit badges for a total of 13.  He has been working real hard.  Kent received 7 for a total of 18.  The scout handing out badges with Kent joined the school and the troop this year, he is a senior.

Quick view from Nathan's window this week when I was checking his room and he still wasn't there.  Nate spent the week in Verbier with his school class at a fabulous camp.  They hiked, mountain climbed, played golf, mountain biked, swam, did a ropes course and played games every night.

He returned exhausted and a bit disappointed that the same night he was heading out for a ward Father/Son campout.  But after his bath and a calzone he was ready to go again.

Dan, Ryan and Nate headed out in beautiful weather but awoke to rain this morning.  They all returned wet but happy.  Nate said it was his best sleep all week (makes you wonder :)  Kent is in Geneva today with his Bern basketball team for another tournament.  He called to say they lost their first game, better luck with their second!
This is the dry, before picture.  Wasn't quick enough for the after, smoky, wet one.
