Fort Vancouver is a restored fort from the 1700's located on the Washington side of the Columbia River. The Hudsons Bay Company used the fort to trade furs with trappers and Indians from Canada to California.
Paul, Nathan and Kent are in the blacksmith shop carefully learning the trade. Our blacksmith crafted a wall hook for us and amused us with his tales of the times.
The store keeper shows his wares (blankets, beads, tobacco, material) and his currency (the furs).
Ryan, Nate, Kent and Paul landed in jail in our short visit but they don't seem to maltreated.
Paul and Ryan are sitting on the bed of one of the accountants (they lived the high life). The colors of the walls are the actual colors they used to show how high-society they actually were:)
