Oregon! What beauty! We are pictured atop Multnomah Falls along the Columbia River Gorge in Oregon. We’ve been south to Crater Lake and never seen a bluer blue, along the coast for hiking with the sea lions, and Mount Hood for snow in the summer.
Rain, Rain, Rain! With hundreds of names for the precipitation from the sky the varieties are endless—mist, spit, spate, liquid sunshine, deluge, fog, etc. We’ve learned there is no such thing as bad weather here—just bad clothing.
Excellent driving. In addition to adding a new driver to the team, we transitioned from scrappy, adventurous and never-dull paths to the bland, structured and courteous freeways. Some have enjoyed the transition, others long for Ramadan commuting.
Go! That’s our motto. We will GO forward with faith, shalom and aloha seeking joy.
Our favorite activities include: orchestra, band, wrestling, robotics, scouts, swimming, ultimate frisbee, volleyball, hiking, cub scouts, piano, choir, basketball, motorcycling, biking, skateboarding, running, camping.
Not Morocco! Oregon is not Morocco, which is good and bad. We’ve kept all the wonderful memories we have from Morocco and are enjoying making new ones here in Oregon. We’re ecstatic to be closer to some of our family and friends.
