Ryan and his biology teacher hatched runner ducks so he had one imprint on him and he brought her home. Both Nate and Ryan love to have her cuddle with them.
Ryan made a trash can basket so he could "papoose" his duck with him.

She loves to garden with Ryan, following him all over the yard,
finding shade each time he crouches down,
and following him down whatever path he takes.
She now lives in his window well
where they keep each other company through the night.
