Lac Courte d'Oreilles

Erik, Ashley, Lukas, Erin, Derek, Nathan and I drove 1,400 miles to Wisconsin for a week at the cabin with my Cragun family.  Lukas is an amazing cross country traveler, smiles and laughter through all the miles!!

All those feet from the back seat.

Family discussion Sunday afternoon
with a Power Point about the printing of the Book of Mormon from Grandpa.

Lots of games throughout the week but this was the funniest!!

And plenty of time for naps...

and books.

Erin swam across the entire lake, perhaps one mile, while Rachel and I kayaked.

Water fun all week.  This was only for the pic, of course, we wore life jackets all the time!

and Lukas' was the cutest jacket!! and the cutest kid!!!

Me and Cindy,
chatting up a storm while we floated off the dock, just the right pace for the old folks!

Nathan's pace--always flying, whether on the tube, the ski, the surf board or the knee board.

Derek and Nate during a calm spell.

We took an excursion Wednesday up to the North Shore of Lake Superior.  We hiked at Gooseberry Falls where the water looked like chocolate milk from the recent storm.

Split Rock Lighthouse is in the background.

A few of us ate ice cream while the others toured the lighthouse.

More boating on our last day on the lake.
One rare picture of the back of our indefatigable driver--Kevin, thanks!!!
It was fun to learn to surf but I never got rid of the tow rope--next time.

Alas, it was time to pack the car and return the 1400 miles home.  We stopped by Mount Rushmore in the afternoon but soon realized we should have visited in the morning so the sun was on the mount faces instead of behind us--oh well!

This little chipmunk was eating his breakfast while we ordered ours in Casper, Wyoming.

And this little boy, laughed all the way home!! (all 1400 miles)
So much fun!!  Thanks to those who organized it and all who came!!
