Dan and I flew to Paris on May 4th, arriving on the 5th in time to wait in a 2 1/2 hour passport line. We almost turned around but persevered. We finally made it to our friends' home, the Daniels. We drove out to Versailles for a tour of the Paris temple--amazing and beautiful!
We found some baguettes and didn't stop eating until we flew back home--just love the crust!

The next day we drove to Rouen and toured the city in lots of rain. We found our church meeting house directly across from the Rouen Cathedral. We attended the following morning and our temple guide from Friday was in the branch, so we chatted with her and her husband. Quelle coincidence!!

We hiked from Jobourg le Nez (in the far distance) up to the
lighthouse off the point where we sat and read Kent's weekly email.
We chose our retirement home along the coast with such lovely chimneys!

We drove back to the chateau through Briquebec and explored the castle ruins.
The next day brought us to the second top highlight of our trip
(the temple is number one, of course)...Mont-St-Michel

A quick stop by the Cathedral of Chartres with my favorite stain glassed window story of the Good Samaritan. I just couldn't get a good picture but this is my reminder anyhow.

Then a drive back to Paris--second time with Dan driving through l'Etoile with me navigating and we managed to return our rental car without a scratch!! Such a lovely trip with marvelous memories.
