Merry Christmas 2015!

The morning started with SNOW!  So while Dan and I waited for the others to wake up we started shoveling the driveway to include 3 of our neighbors who were out of town.
Nate soon joined us to pass the time until the rest awoke.

The morning pajama shot which Kent thinks is "cheesy" so that's the smile we got!

Another with Elle, sort of.

After the stockings were explored the hunt for the pickle was on...
but since there were two trees, the hunting was dispersed...
While they searched the origin of the pickle hunt was discovered:
It was originally thought to be a German tradition that the Americans borrowed.  A pickle ornament is hidden on the tree and the first to find it on Christmas morning gets to open the first present or receives an additional present from Santa.  The tradition is not a German one, according to the Germans, but is thought to be developed by Woolworth for the purpose of selling an overabundance of glass pickle ornaments that were inadvertently bought in the 1890's.

Morning fun for Ryan and Kent

 Elle's favorite stocking treat!

Kent and Ryan's new under layer running tights.

Nate's favorite Star Wars gummy treats.

Fixing mom's slippers while we are still opening gifts.

Dan ensuring that the Christmas packaging paper is properly folded and consolidated for waste disposal.

No holiday is complete without a bit of Ultimate!
We tried a 5-4-3-2 pyramid without success.
Merry Christmas!!
