A house in the making. Kent designed it on SketchUp, made a template then started cutting out pieces and baking them, including baking the windows in.
Then they put it together, piece by piece, patiently waiting between each addition.
Lots of hands involved from Dad and Mom, to Nate, Ryan and Kent. We did refuse access to Elle.
We joined other families for a night of gingerbread house assembly.
It expanded their access to more candies but it just wasn't enough time.
It sat all night last night with very supports and props to keep the lights glued on with frosting.
Then it was time for the landscaping: gardens, a pond, walkways, and trees.
Then a last minute snow storm.
Dan drilled a hole early one morning (he didn't want to stress the kids) to add the internal light--make those bay windows light up from the inside.

Take a stroll down the path.
Maybe a quick skate on the pond.
Or an evening stroll to enjoy the lights!
