Nate carved a pumpkin so we left it with neighbors since we would miss Halloween at home.
With the kids having the last few days of October off from school,
we headed north to visit Coeur d'Alene.

We drove and we drove and we drove!
We rented a house with 5 acres just outside of Coeur d'Alene but with all the rain we mostly explored the inside of the house.
But then there was the moose!
Downtown Coeur d'Alene
One of Dan's colleagues invited us over for pizza and pumpkin carving. The plan was to head home before the carving but there were pumpkins for all.
The rain didn't slow us down too much--after a morning run in the hills along the lake, in the rain and the mud.
Family dinner on Halloween night at the Wolf's Lodge Steakhouse. No one left disappointed!
Sign at the entrance to the bathrooms. Lots of fun things to explore while we waited for our meals.
