Salt Flats and Pilot Mountain

To celebrate Dan's birthday we headed west to the Nevada line (guess I'd been in the same state too long).  This was our window view for dinner :)

We drove out to the Bonneville Salt Flats which are still under water.  These are the Silver Island Mountains.

There are a few more salt chunks in this view a bit more to the west.

Parked as far as you can drive on the flats now.  Kent thought the picture would be more expressive with a 2015 Mustang.

Then we went for a run under Pilot Peak.  We just ran off the road among the prairie dog holes.  I only collapsed 5 holes and 5 ankles but Dan managed it 11 times--all accidents of course!

This momma has a black baby and a white baby--so cute!!!

Our view from lunch!
Just a gorgeous day!!!  And a beautiful world!!
