Ukranian Night

Some Bradys and Craguns met for some Ukranian cooking.  I missed pictures of all the peeling, chopping, shredding and dicing with everyone in the kitchen, but this was one of the final results:
Borsch

The lovely sisters who made it all happen!

Bri with her magic potion.

Then Grandma Jensen arrived to enjoy the evening with us.

Ready to eat our Borsch.  The stuffed green peppers were still in the oven.

The meal was followed with hibiscus tea and/or peppermint hot chocolate with lots of Ukranian biscuits and candies (the egg nog egg was amazing!)
Bri taught the kids to bite off the top and bottom of a special cookie and then drink the hot cocoa through the cookie.  Some found it easier than others.
Jason said he invented it while on his mission which Bri learned as it was passed from missionary to missionary.  Erik noted that it also made its way to the French elders as they had a similar practice.
Regardless, it was yummy!

And then we found Ryan in the corner trying to finish off the tin of biscuits all by himself.  He managed a third of the top layer.  I guess Cristina will have to invite him over to finish off the rest of it :)

We played some group games which evolved into dog pile of the couch:

Then when it was time to say goodbye, we found Ashley carrying the boys away!

At least she finished by carrying off her fiancé!
Thanks to Cristina and Dan for hosting!!  Thanks to Bri and Jason for cooking!!!  And thanks to all the helping hands!!  It was a lovely evening!!
