Ryan's birthday coincided with a day off school and the first snowfall of the year. The boys headed outside to enjoy the white wonder at 6am. They quickly used all the surrounding snow to build their snowball war protection.
The snow seemed to catch my porch flowers unawares.
We had a quick break from the first snowball fight to celebrate Ryan's 14th with a breakfast of German pancakes, vanilla syrup and grape juice.
Another quick battle, but we no longer had to whisper :) and maybe it wasn't so quick.

Tossing the snowballs into the snow covered trees produced the best effect. Particularly when I convince him to stand for a photo :)
Nate wasn't so excited about the standing around part.
Some intense fights led to rather warm boys.
Not too long to play in the snow. Kent and Ryan traveled with the ISBerne basketball team for a tournament in Leysin.
