Basketball in Leysin

Ryan had a Middle School basketball tournament in Geneva last Friday, this weekend Kent played in a High School basketball tournament in Leysin.  He left after lunch on Friday and we all went up Saturday morning in time for their first game.

 Here are the adoring fans!

Ryan showed us around town in between games.  He came here the last two years for his school class of Village Camps.  This is the staircase of 217 steps that he raced up in 41 seconds to take the school record :)

In between games Ryan, Nate and I skated in the rink under the Sport Center roof.  We played tag with 2 french girls, one needed the trainers so they all played with the trainers to make it fair.  After the girls left, the boys made up skating routines with the trainers, doing over the head lifts and spins and exchanges.  Next time they'll just have to do it to music :)

A quick tour around town and we found another cow!

After our quick morning walk, we picked up Kent then headed home.  We stopped in Fribourg to attend the french branch who were very friendly.  Even though they are a branch and we are a ward in Bern, they had a lot more youth than we do.
